I have to say, I don't blame David for not wanting to be tied to Charles forever. Having said that, I will continue to talk about Charles for a long while. But I notice some M*A*S*H fans begrudging David's reticence in talking about M*A*S*H, along with other people, like Loretta and Gary and even Alan. They should really lighten up. But, what I wondered is, does David keep in touch with any of his former castmates? I don't know how we could find out (unless it was referenced in an interview once). But I've often found that even though the actor may not want to be tied to that character, or think about a show or project they did a long time ago, it doesn't necessarily mean they don't still keep in touch with the friends they made on set. David once mentioned that he has friends which he's had for 20+ years, though he didn't specifically mention who. I can't help but think he might still have some contact with Harry Morgan. But I wonder if he contacts anyone else occasionally. Just interesting to speculate.

Yes, to listen to some MASH fans, you'd think that all the actors had to do these days was sit around watching reruns of the series! They just don't seem to get that, just because their life revolves around MASH (and some people really don't appear to have a life beyond it), there's no reason why the actors lives should. David's been in a couple of shows with other cast members - Woody Allen's "Everyone Says I Love You", with Alan Alda; and an unaired episode of "Love and Money" with Harry Morgan (they asked him who he would like to play his father, and it didn't take him long to decide!). I'd agree that he might well touch base at least with Harry occasionally. He's certainly proud of the fact that he's kept some friendships going for about 40 years - he referred to this on the DZ site in the video "answers to questions."
