At the behest of Kay, I have been taking food, coffee, and other essentials through a strong I.V. solution. My very important college work has all been absorbed by osmosis. Thanks to all of that, I was able to whip up another C/M fic. This ones going to have more than one part to it. I've already got Chapter 1 up and I expect to whip out the rest fairly quickly. Without further ado: www.fanfiction.net/s/2970250/1/Enjoy!

*grins* Much appreciated! Have left you a review on ff.net, but just thought I'd add my thanks here for what looks to be shaping up as a really good story. Note to everyone else: please don't forget to leave reviews, for any story you read - I know from experience that it can be really demoralising not to get any comments at all on a fic. Authors love feedback (even if it's to let them know where they've gone wrong!).

Thanks so much Kay, the feedback is greatly appreciated. I know what you mean, every little review is a blessing, especially for this pairing, which is so shamefully ignored. Speaking of fic, I'd love to see more from you soon! And... here's Chapter 2 of my C/M fic: www.fanfiction.net/s/2970250/2/Enjoy!

This is developing VERY nicely - I'm envious of where Margaret is at the end of this chapter! ;D One tiny medical point - when people are very cold and heading for hypothermia, they actually get past the shivering stage. So Charles would be wary of thinking Margaret was okay just because she'd stopped shivering, he'd check for other indications she was okay (eg, rosy cheeks, no disorientation).

Thanks again so much. I'm glad this is being enjoyed! And...*slaps forehead* I even made it a point to update myself on the effects on hypothermia. I had merely made her void of the symptoms of severe hypothermia, but forgot to address the absence of shivering. I hate silly mistakes like that. Well, I just posted the next chapter. Quite a bit longer than the other two. And the next chapter is well on its way. Hope you enjoy! www.fanfiction.net/s/2970250/3/

Great stuff, thanks! i am just slightly as a loss as to how and when exactly she got... shall we say 'hurt', so as not to spoil too much for anyone who hasn't read it yet. Maybe you could cover this by having Charles brief Potter on what happened - which he should have done anyway? Ta

Oh, sorry about that. I had enjoyed being deliberately oblique about what actually happened, so the reader would feel as disoriented as Margaret still is. And I thought perhaps I'd made an adequate reference in the previous chapter with Potter's remark to Margaret about the scout shooting at them. You're quite right, Charles would've briefed Potter, so, hence Potter relaying it back to Margaret, who was still uncertain about what had happened herself. I don't want to be redundant in my current chapter, but what I'll do is just have Potter make another reference to it to ease any lingering confusion. I like being oblique, but I sometimes forget how it translates to the reader. Apologies. Hope it didn't make the experience of reading it any less enjoyable.

I check every day to see whether there's another chapter posted (so no pressure... ) and this was a lovely way to start my weekend off. The penicillin thing is a good idea (following the old storyteller's adage, "make it worse"!) and everyone is so beautifully in character.

Thank you, Kay. Would've posted this sooner, but kept tweaking it. Finally satisfied. There are probably about one or two more chapters to go on this. Enjoy! www.fanfiction.net/s/2970250/6/
