Honestly, if I was stuck on a deserted island with any M*A*S*H* character other than Charles, I'd pick Col. Potter.
He is:
1. a doctor
2. a combat veteran
3. a farmer
4. a good listener
4. a good storyteller
That means I would have health care, shelter, food, someone to talk to, and someone to learn from!

Wow, excellent summation of our second good Colonel. I'd never thought of that. I believe i chose Klinger for the comedy relief. Or Trapper. I can't remember. I love Trapper almost as much as i do Charles; it'd prolly be even-steven if he'd been in more than three seasons, but then again, why would the 4077th have two thoracic surgeons? Then Charles never would've arrived, and that doesn't bear thinking about, and I"m blathering, don't mind me.
