It was really sad when they were all in Col Potter's tent and he was talking about his old war friends. Charles was crying. it was a good episode

I love that scene, so beautifully played by Harry Morgan (and David of course). I believe there were about 7 takes for that speech he gave, and he had the crew in tears every time. On the 'Making MASH' documentary there's a scene where they're rehearsing it, and when Harry gets to the line about "anyone know what a tontine is?" all the others put their hands up like schoolkids and shouted "Me! Me! I know!"  |
