I'd forgotten how funny this one was, esp. when CEW is running across the compound wrapped in newspaper, from the shower, LOL!!
BJ says as Charles goes into the Swamp, "Oh, I see you're in the newspaper!"
It's cute when he's getting dressed under the blanket, and a sneaky peek of thigh shows on occasion.
I love when he's walking around in Honoria's kimono that he'd bought, and Kellye speaks to him in Japanese. Or when Potter, going over Lil Abner, stops and goes, "MAJOR! Close your robe!" and the whole camp just dies laughing.
It's funny, the 4077th vs. Charles!

Yes, it's a great episode - we certainly get to see LOTS of Charles! I love the scene where he's on the bunk putting his trousers on too - I can fixate on his chest to my heart's content.  I thought Margaret was going to choke on her powdered egg when Potter said that "Close your robe" line, and the scene where Potter hauls him out of the jeep by his ear is hilarious - Charles is just so much taller than he is, it looks so funny! ;D |

Charles actually looked really nice in his kimono even though it was a little bit short (that's why I like it). I'm not too sure that the newspapers suited him quite as much but I don't think fashion was his main concern at that present time.

I forgot the part when he's about to drive off in the jeep to pull the tent down, only to see Potter standing there. Charles and Potter stare each other down, but I love how Charles revs the engine like "Get out of the way, old man! Or you're road pizza!" LOLOL I'm DYING here!
As for dressing under the blanket, that whole bit was awesome, but when he was done and just lying there, well... I couldn't help but think of Chapter 13 in "Sonnets in the Dark", rowr rowr. 'Nuff said on THAT one.

As for dressing under the blanket, that whole bit was awesome, but when he was done and just lying there, well... . He clearly wasn't wearing much (if anything!) under those papers/the blanket - wonder if there were any outtakes? ;D |

I certainly don't think he was wearing much underneath the newspapers because we see a side view as he's going into the swamp and there's no sides of any underwear visible.
As for the scene where he's getting dressed underneath the blankets I think he had a pair of shorts on as they were slightly visible as he sat down.

I don't know how to put the slow motion on this VCR we've got now. I used to know on the old one but if I did that it would chew the tapes up.

This was another of the eps I watched over the weekend with my young niece and her friend. My niece laughed so hard at that scene where Charles has to use the newspapers to cover his modesty, and then get dressed under the blanket, that I thought she was going to hurt herself!
She thought it was so brilliant we had to rewind and watch it over again. ;D

I almost died when I saw the pic of Charles in 'The Complete Book of M*A*S*H' wearing just a newspaper.
I do watch the ep rather a lot.
