That's such a sweet pic! Harry looks like he's just tripped over, and David has caught him in his big, strong arms.........*goes off into daydream mode*........

According to the notes in the book, Harry had just forgotten his lines for the umpteenth time that morning. I think he'd fallen into David's arms as part apology and part 'help me!'

It's so different from anything you'd see the two characters doing. I always got the impression that Colonel Potter wasn't too keen on Charles.

I always got the impression that Colonel Potter wasn't too keen on Charles. He wasn't at first, but they definitely became more friendly as time went by - we thought of some examples in the 'Colonel Potter' thread, if you recallYou're right though, I don't think the characters ever got quite this close!

Oh gosh. I totally forgot we had this discussion but they were never as close as what they are in this pic. I get the impression that David quite liked Harry.

I get the impression that David quite liked Harry. In the David Reiss book on MASH, David describes Harry as his 'professional father', which is quite a compliment. And in a recent interview, David said he only did the 2002 MASH reunion because "Harry isn't getting any younger."
