Have just been watching 'Bombshells' again - another of the rare episodes where we get to see Charles and Hawkeye getting along really well. The scene at the start where they begin the rumour about Marilyn Monroe shows that they understand each other very well - each has no idea what the other's about to say, yet they play along till the story has been concocted. My fave line is where Hawkeye has failed to get Marilyn on the line and Charles says in desperation: "Now we've got to call General Schwerrin, pretend to be Truman, and have him recalled!" Priceless!

I totally forgot about this episode. I do have it one one of my videos somewhere but I haven't watched it in such a long time that I've forgotten most of the moments.
I'll have to watch that one soon.

This is one of my favs, the way CEW went along with the joke was too funny.

Yes, I love this episode. Loved the part where they are on the phone with the Hollywood people. Didn't Hawkeye go to med school in Boston (or did I just read this in a fic somewhere)? If he did, you'd think he'd know his way around the city. Possibly yet another continuity problem.

I don't recall Hawkeye ever saying he went to med school in Boston, but then it might have been in the early years that he said it, in which case I wouldn't remember.

I can't remember if he actually said that or if I read it and just thought he said it

Now I'm thinking he said something about residency in Boston
