Thanks, CG, for the info about this ep.
This one's on soon here, too, on Hallmark! Tomorrow, the same day they're showing "Say No More."
I'd best warm up the ol' VCR for the 24th!
This is such a good ep, and I cried when I first saw it, as I've mentioned in here before, when we hear Honoria's voice for the first time.
Just like the young soldier Charles is paying extra attention to, I wondered why he was being so kind and helpful (not that Charles isn't capable of such!)

I thought it showed us a lot about Charles really. He was so sweet in this episode and I imagine he'd be a really great brother.
Lovely Episode

Darn, we've spoiled it! I hadn't realized someone wouldn't have watched it yet.
Have the tissue ready, for the ending! I always cry at the end.

I'm watching this ep right now (commercial), and MAN did Charles just REAM Captain Sweeney! The guy was calling the private who stutters a dummy (even though the kid had stated he couldn't tell the bedrock was unstable, so it sounds like he knows what he's talking about). Then the dude starts stuttering to mock the kid, and Charles calls him out and goes all Major and military on the guy, it was AWESOME! (The fact he looks to be at least three inches taller than the guy helped.)
Knowing what's coming up, it's like watching Charles all over again, knowing he's ticked off at these guys cuz insulting this private is like insulting Honoria, and you KNOW how that'd go over!
It's later. He's listened to the tape, and sure enough, before it even got to that scene I was already bawling, lol!!

The scene where Charles gives Capt Sweeney a telling off was mentioned to me before I watched this episode although I didn't think it would be like it was. I thought Charles would really shout but he didn't. You could definately hear the anger in his voice because the Captain was insulting people that stutter.
When I heard Honoria's tape recording for the first time everything made sense. Charles looks so happy to hear from her and there is obviously a special relationship between the two siblings.

Yes, when he gets the tape from Klinger and walks off with it, I like what he says, something like "Finally, someone intelligent to listen to!" and you're right, that look on his face is darling, he so adores his little sister.
I totally adore the younger of my two older brothers, so I can imagine that's how Honoria felt. I've luckily never had a brother in a war zone, though!

Unfortunately I can't say the same about my little sister.
When Charles says "at last the words of an intelligent person" reinforces the point that he makes to Pvt Palmer when he gives him the book.
That's a moment I need to add to the website.

Oh, REALLY.... Hmmmm... early in "Sonnets...." that's something Margaret realizes she admires about him, is that he DOES make a good second-in-command, and he WON'T let her sway him like Frank did.
Yeah, he's hot when he gets all Major on this guy, rowr.
