I can not believe this wasn't a thread, being Charles' premier ep and all!
I've been keeping an eye on Hallmark channel (Paramount to the brits in here), and it looks like they're in Frank's final season, yea!!
My Charles-drought will be over soon I hope!

I think it was a thread, once upon a time, but it got deleted. (It's t'other way about, btw - Fade out, Fade in - but no matter) Lots to love about this ep, not least all those shots of Charles in his dress uniform. I do enjoy the way he keeps putting Hawkeye down too!  And you can see that Hawkeye's attitude is fuelled by his realising that Charles is a great surgeon, and that Hawkeye feels threatened by that. |

It was a thread but it got deleted in the very early days of this forum.
We got to see the first glimpse of the other side of Charles in this episode. He seemed quite upset at the end because he wasn't as quick in surgery as the others, it was a change from the arrogant man we saw at the beginning of the episode.

I love this episode. Charles yelling at Radar always has me in a fit of giggles  . Plus, he looks so yummy in his dress uniform. He looks yummy after surgery too -- all upset. I just want to hug him. |

Ya know, I just want to hug him all the time. I don't care if he's in a bad mood, giddy, or on the verge of a nervous breakdown. He's just so huggable.

I think I watched this episode halfway into the series. I missed the first few episodes when they were on so I borrowed CG's DVD to watch all the eps I'd missed. I loved this episode and felt sorry for Charles at the end. He felt so bad about bieng slower in surgery than the others.

OK, darn it, Fade OUT, Fade IN! and guess what? I just missed it! I was watching the local Fox channel's MASH (Major Ego, then Dear Comrade), when I checked the listings for the Hallmark channel's, just in time to miss it all but the final scene of part II. Fortunately, that's the part I love so much, when Hawkeye finds the snake in his cot and screams, lol! And CEW of course says "Please...Mozart!" I'm such an idjit for not paying attention.
So I'm happy: both stations are now showing CEW eps once more. Sorry, Frank!
