You know we don't have a thread on this episode, which I thought was strange as it has quite a bit of Charles in.
I wasn't sure if the episode was entirely realistic as I don't think Charles and Potter would have been shouting. As I don't really look for realisim in M*A*S*H, I didn't really care.
This wasn't the best episode for Charles (poor guy) but I really felt sorry for him when he was talking to Potter about his concerns.

I'm always awed by David's ability to speak coherently while he has a mouthful of water too! I agree about some of it being unrealistic though. Charles could perfectly happily settle down with a good book, just as Potter is trying to do, but no-one actually points that out!

It's the episode where Potter and Charles both get mumps and are forced to share the Colonel's tent (Charles was "caught with his genes down", as BJ put it)

This is a great episode - so funny to see Charles and Potter "interacting" like that!!

I'm always awed by David's ability to speak coherently while he has a mouthful of water too! Since posting this, I've discovered that, as a kid, David started out as a ventriloquist. So speaking clearly with the mouthful of water might have been a trick he learned a long time ago.

I'm always awed by David's ability to speak coherently while he has a mouthful of water I've always found that amazing. I know people that can't speak while chewing gum so for David to still talk clear enough with a mouthful of water is impressive.
