Have been rewatching this, courtesy of the Season 10 DVD. (Charles, Hawkeye and BJ are put in charge of recommending enlisted men for promotion. It's the eppy where Klinger becomes a sergeant)
I love those little 'scaredy-cat' whimpers Charles gives when he's being threatened! So funny!
Where did they find that huge guy though? There can't be too many people that David has to look UP at - that guy had to have been about 7 feet tall!

That was John Matuszak. He played (American) football for the Oakland Raiders in the 1970's.
He also appeared an many movies and TV episodes. Sadly, he died at age 38 in 1989.

I looked this guy up on the IMDB and he's 6 foot 8 ins tall. Died of heart failiure due to an alleged heavy use of steriod drugs. Competed in the 1978 World's Strongest Man Competition weighing 308 lbs The link to his profile: Click Here |

Yeah, it is odd to see Charles/David look UP like he does there. My exhubby is 6'4" like David is, and when he met my ex brother in law, who's 6'9", he said he felt SHORT for one of the few times in his adult life.

Am always a little puzzled how both Nurse Kellye AND the dumb private are both able to spot right away where Charles is 'hiding'. Kellye would know that bed wasn't supposed to be occupied, but the private wouldn't - yet he sees right away that it's Charles!  |

I always assumed someone else indicated to the Corporal Charles' hiding place. so did I but tht might have been your fault. Perhaps the Private knew Charles was supposed to be in post-op and as Charles had pulled the blankets up to hide his face, it attracted attention. |
