I've been watching this show since I was about 10 and I have to admit that I originally liked Hawkeye/Margaret, but I think it was one of those things where it's more to do with conformity than actual conviction. Now that I've been catching reruns again, I realized how much I love Charles (definitely my favorite) and how obvious Charles/Margaret is. I love how even if he doesn't get to speak with her, he'll often acknowledge her by saying "Major" or "Margaret" in passing. Just a nice, casual gesture. Anyway, I was wondering which episodes contain your favorite Charles/Margaret moments (if you lean that way)? Off the top of my head, mine would be: "The Grim Reaper" "The Light That Failed" "Baby, It's Cold Outside" "Tea and Empathy" ...and lots more, but this is a quick retrospective. I'd love to hear from the rest of you and of course, visual aids are always welcomed.

I think a lot of us are major CM shippers and we each have our own favourites, mine have to be:
+ The Grim Reaper - I thought they were going to get together after that but then she didn't show much sympathy for Charles when he was ill. + The Light That Failed - Reading THAT particular passage to Margaret had to mean something. + Say No More - The kiss in the mess tent was the one we had waited ages to see.

I still haven't seen Say No More, so I'm really looking forward to catching it next week when it reruns on the Hallmark Channel; must see the kiss, obviously.
There was a cute C/M moment in tonight's rerun "A Holy Mess": When B.J. and Hawkeye suggest they all have a picnic outside and Charles and Margaret think it sounds like a good idea. Charles says something about enjoying the idea of eggs "al fresco" and Margaret replies, "That sounds sexy when you say it in French."
Charles says, "It's Italian."
And then Margaret turns away from him and gives him this sly smile, replying, "Even better."
I love his face after she says that. Priceless.

Sometimes Hallmark cut scenes out of their re-runs so I'll keep my fingers crossed that they leave that scene in.
I love that scene in 'A Holy Mess' it's my favourite scene in the whole episode.

There's 'The Yalu Brick Road', where they squabble like an old married couple; 'Back Pay', where Margaret's plays nurse when Charles hurts his back (not that he's grateful!); 'Cementing Relationships' (i like the last scene, where you don't actually see them, but you hear Margaret call Charles "lover boy" ). In 'The Life you Save' (one of my favourite episodes), Margaret gets really annoyed with BJ for not showing Charles more compassion; and of course in 'GFA', there's that lovely moment where Charles puts his hand over his heart when Margaret is driven away (and she's looking back at him). Probably my favourite CM moment though is at the end of 'No Laughing Matter', when Charles has shown how much Margaret's friendship means to him by refusing to lie for Colonel Baldwin. Along with 'Say No More' (which CG mentioned), this one cries out for an 'After the Credits' fanfic (preferably in the mould of 'Sparkling Blue' ;D )

I like their interplay in "Friends and Enemies" despite Charles's remark to Margaret, "Friends? We merely coexist."
Not only is that a continuity error (did the writers forget "No Laughing Matter"?), but I think Margaret's probably the only person Charles counts as a true friend. I mean, he really respects her. So it's really just out of character completely. Unless he meant it jokingly because she was trying to get something out of him. Thoughts?
Aside from that incredible kiss in the mess tent in "Say No More," I also like the scene when Margaret is writing down the telegram. I just love the way Charles is looking at her when she says it wouldn't be fair to the staff and patients for her to delay her recovery.
