This was on the other day and I didn't see a previous thread for it, so I thought I'd start one. I loved Charles in this one; his reaction to the sheer absurdity of the cow birthing is spot-on. I loved how he gave the lecture for Margaret and we actually get to see how bored he is, making it more meaningful that he took on the task to begin with.
Of course, he did ask for something in return. It was clear, though, once Margaret left his tent, that he wasn't actually going to get the recording he wanted and instead, he was just amused by Margaret declaring she'd bring Schnabel to him personally, if that's what it took. Silly, of course, since Schnabel more than likely would've been dead at the point (died in '51). Still, I can't help but think Charles wouldn't have hesitated to correct or mock someone else, but not with Margaret. Interesting.
BTW, can anyone remember the name of the recording Charles wanted? It was a Schnabel performance of a Beethoven piece, but the name escapes me, sadly, and I'd like to use it in a fic.

He wanted the 1932 recording of the 'Emperor' concerto. (Just peeked at my own fanfic 'Whats love got to do with it?', in which I made a reference to it! ;D)
