I tried to pic the best 'moments' here and I'd like you all to say which moment shows Charles' kindness the best.

It is a tie for me the one with the stuttering soldier was touching especially the end when it is discovered his beloved sister Honoria stutters. And the holiday chocolates one when Radar gave Charles the cap that belonged to Charles when he was a boy. I love these little smiley emoticons.

That's ok it is also my favorite so both have gotten votes now. What I don't understand after watching his wonderful performances in thses two episodes, why isn't he a bigger star?

Of the moments here, it was a toss-up between Morale Victory and Run for the Money. In the end I went with Morale Victory, because I think that was a tougher call for Charles - it took him a lot of time and trouble to think about what to do, and the "bedside manner" came less naturally to him at that point than it did later. Another, more spontaneous, act of kindness was the one where he found Hawkeye and BJ hiding the Korean boy in his bunk, and instantly pretended to the military that the boy was one of his tentmates' women. That was a fairly early episode, and really helped highlight the difference between Charles and Frank.

Kay I forgot about that one. I liked the fact that they made the character of CEW a three dimensional character. He wasn't all pompous that there were moments where you saw beneath the snob exterior.
I remembered another one. It was when Hawkeye's father was having surgery and Hawkeye had just found out. He and Charles were talking at the officer's club and Hawkeye made a comment how he and his dad were thousands of miles apart. Charles than said that he and his father were that distant even in the same room. And Charles said that Hawkeye had a dad but he had a father. That spoke volumes of the real Charles.

When I created this poll I used the Moments section of the website as a guide thinking I had most of them on there, but reading your posts has made me realise that I have omitted quite a few. I shall add these new moments to the website with the next update.

I thought that the chocolates moment was the sweetest. He took all that abuse from everyone at camp just to stick to his principles.
