Nice start - though saying that 'After winning a game of cribbage he was sent to the 4077th' makes it sound a bit like he WON his posting! You might want to tweak it a little - maybe along these lines? - Major Charles Emerson Winchester III MD was a Boston blueblood who was demonstrating surgical techniquesat Tokyo General Hospital when he upset his commanding officer by beating him at a game of cribbage. To avoid paying the debt he owed, the Colonel sent him to the 4077th M*A*S*H unit. Although he seemed snobbish at times there was also a kind, sensitive man under the arrogance - he might have boasted about his surgical skills, but when he did a good deed (eg in 'Death Takes a Holidy', he never talked about itCharles enjoy ed listening to classical music and reading good literature and poetry. Unlike his predecessor, Frank Burns, he gave as good as he got with the practical jokes - 'April Fools' being a good example of this The Winchesters were extremely rich, meaning that Charles was still able to enjoy some of the finer things in life, courtesy of thepackages he receivedfrom home containing luxury items. He ha d a younger sister Honoria, who he was very close to, and he also had a little brother who died in an accident when Charles was very young.

I copied it directly from the website and that description hasn't been updated for a while.
I've just realised how badly I wrote back then.
