Fox TV are releasing a complete set of DVD's with all 11 seasons and extras which is a real kick in the teeth for those fans that have purchased the sets individually.
What is your opinion on this?

I've been spitting mad about this since I first learned about it. Fox deserve a collective kick in the wallets from everyone who has dutifully bought every season they've trickled out over the past five years. I hope they release the set in R2 as well as R1 so that I can RENT the things and copy them. If everyone who already has the DVDs did that, Fox might just twig that people really, really hate being ripped off.

It's nothing I didn't expect them to do however annoying it is. All these companies are interested in is making money but even a die hard M*A*S*H fan isn't going to want to pay a lot of money all over again just to get a few extras.
I think Fox will lose money over this and serves them right.

A lot of the MASH fans that WOULD have bought this set already have the seasons on DVD and they're not going to want to pay out again.
I don't think that the casual MASH fans are going to pay out for this either so the only people that will pay are the new MASH fans.
Like Jenn said, if Fox lose money over this then serves them right. Eventaully they'll learn that greed doesn't pay.

Is this something that's being released only in the UK? I'd love to get my hands on the rare stuff: bloopers, interviews, & behind the scenes. Of course I'd have to rent it and burn it. I wouldn't give any movie studio a single farthing of my money after pulling a stunt like that.

At the moment it's only been announced for release in R1 (ie, the US). That's why I would like it to be released in R2 (UK/europe), so that I can rent it.
