I would like to point people in the direction of Fanfiction.net to read stories about Charles. To find stories about him type his name in the search once you have got to the list of MASH stoies. Alternatively you can search by author names if you know any.
I write under the name of TheMajorsMrs. I only have one fanfic so far but I will be writing another.
Check out KayEm2's stories too. All about Charles and very well written.

The direct link to my stories is www.fanfiction.net/u/480098/May I recommend 'A glass of water' by Kate Halloron - a lovely story, beautifully written. I also like 'Without Regret' by ursulathemad, but don't read that one unless you're an adult!! Same goes for 'Spoken English' (which unfortunately isn't finished yet)

I forgot 'Without Regret'. Definately worth reading if you're over 18.
Of course there are also fanfics by other authors and on other sites. I just haven't found them all yet.

I think I've read all the FF.net CEW stories, thanks to the C2 "Without Regret" was my very first CEW fic I read on there, and I was like... Um... yeah, are they ALL like this? That one's even more detailed than Chapter 13 of "Sonnets in the Dark"! Not that I minded, I mean, I'm a grown up after all I'm wondering: How do we harangue FF.net to allow us to search via character and/or pairing, like we can on some TV shows (like Trek and SG-1, for two examples). There are over 40 pages of fics listed for MASH, dont' you think it's time they let us search for specific characters? That way, I can AVOID the stuff with H/M and (ew) slashy crap. Gawd, I wish there was a totally separate MASH SLASH section, don't you? Just looking at some of those pairings makes me want to gouge my eyes out, and I ain't repeating them here, so many are so wrong on so many levels. OMG, speaking of unholy pairings, this is het too... Margaret and IGOR?? Kill me now.

I emailed FF.net about the character drop-down boxes, after I saw 38 pages of fics for Star Trek, 43 for MASH, and yet Trek has the drop-down boxes to categorize and search by characters.
I pointed out to them not only the greater number of pages, but that I and others who find slash fiction most offensive would be happier, because we could avoid specific pairings.
Knowing they'd think, "Well just don't read them," I also said that just reading the SUMMARIES about some of these pairings greatly disturbs me. And I ain't kidding, either. I can visualize so well, that just seeing the two names is enough for me to picture something I don't wanna picture.
I saw...oh, nm, I can't even bring it enough to my conscious thought to type it, it's too nauseating.

There's a box that lets you search within a category. I've used it to look for Charles. I just typed his name in the search box (search by keywords) and it came up with all the stories with his name in the summary. I've never tried it to look for pairings.

You've never noticed in some TV shows, like I said, Trek and Stargate as two examples, that in addition to category, published or updated recently, and rating, you have Char1 and Char2 boxes?
Like in Stargate, I like Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter stories, so I can tell it Jack and Sam only, etc etc. That's what MASH needs too. It usually also says "Other" so one could put in Charles and Other, if that's what you want.
I've emailed FF.net twice. Seems yesterday, when I'm just sitting here reading a story, not doing anything with my computer, it suddenly starts chattering and all these URLs are appearing at the bottom of the screen and "Done" every so often. I get a popup box asking if I want to continue running scripts. I don't know what it's talking about so I click "No", then a few seconds later I get "VIRUS FOUND!" from my anti-virus program.
I emailed them and asked, Are you inserting viruses on my harddrive via your ads??
Wasn't too happy to see that, esp when my program found a trojan horse .exe file in my temporary internet files.

I've never noticed other TV shows category things to be honest as I've never looked at them. It'd be nice if they did one for MASH. It's a bit annoying that viruses seem to come off of that site and I know some people don't go on it for that reason. I've got viruses from there in the past as well so I share your annoyance.
