Not exactly C/M, but it explores the possibility. I explained it more in-depth in my author's notes. This isn't a happy one, but I really feel better for having written it. For some strange reason. Despite the fact that I was listening to Bob Dylan and Schubert while I wrote it and it made me very sad. Enjoy! www.fanfiction.net/s/3004452/1/

*sniffs, reaches for tissue box* More or less in the same state as Charles was at the end of your story! Beautifully done. I hope we can have a happier story next though!

Thank you, Kay, glad you liked it. Apparently, the reviewer on FF.net didn't, but oh well, you can't please them all.
I've got two ideas for some upcoming fics, and they're both lighthearted, because even I'm depressed after writing this one. I need some peppy stories now.

I know she liked it for the most part but I agree with her about the author notes thing. We both write short stories for small print publication so we're just used to the format of author's notes going in the back or being very short if they are in front. She's also right about the commas but she's a grammar nazi (I am queen of the commas in my writing) so don't even worry about it. I like the writing style. She's a hardcore beta reader, pay her no mind.

There are WAY too many HM and Hawkeye-centric fics being posted on ff.net at the moment - we need more Charles!

When I click on that link above, I get:
"Story does not have any chapters. Please check to see you are not using an outdated url."
What's the name of the story? Perhaps you could link to your author's profile and we can find it that way.
