Henry was awesome, yeah. I was re-reading "Visions of the things to be" when Hawkeye's reminiscing about all the people he'd known at the 4077th, and I cried when I read how Henry's little boy will never know his father, never know what an incredibly kind man he was (remember, his wife was pregnant.)

I know people think Henry compared to Potter, as a CO? Please! But also remember, in "Henry, Please Come Home," what he says when they lure him back to the 4077th cuz Radar's "sick" He said, When we came over that hill, we didn't have so much as a bed pan! (Or tongue depressor, I can't remember). Henry was the one who got the 4077th up to its stellar status as the highest ranked MASH unit in Korea, after all. Potter took over after it had all been established.

And I know Henry mentions at least once that he'd been to Command School. He just let the surgeons walk all over him a bit too much. The one where things are getting stolen, when Henry is going tent to tent, Trapper actually calls him SIR, I couldn't believe it!

So there were at least a few times when Henry gave an order that Hawkeye and Trapper heeded.

I always had a soft spot for Henry, and I always want to cry when I watch the episode where he was killed....even though I've seen it many times! I know he was never exactly "in charge" of the 4077th, but I still prefered him to Potter.

I don't think I've ever seen the whole episode. I have it on DVD but never watched it for some reason.
