I watched the last episode again and I noticed something. The interaction between Margaret and Charles made me wonder if given time something might have happened between them. There was something more touching about Charles giving her the book after he signed it than when Hawkeye grabbed her and kissed her. And when she was driving off it looked like she was looking at Charles. As a what happened to them idea, I wonder if after they got back to the states and got settled in that Margaret or Charles didn't try to contact each other. Do you guys think they would made a good match? I know people say Margaret and Hawkeye should be a couple but I don't see it. I just think she and Charles would have been perfect together.

One of the long standing debates between MASH fans is who Margaret is best suited to and I don't think there ever will be an answer. There are some definate CM moments when you really think that something will happen between them and the main ones are listed on a dedicated website. charles4margaret.tripod.com/

Thanks Jenna I will definitely go and check it out. I read where people thought Margaret and Hawkeye would be a good couple but I never thought so. Hawkeye just seems so immature compared to Margaret.

My opinion, no, I don't like the idea of M/C, I think she's beneath him and more suited for Hawkeye. Yes there were moments but what do you expect from two people literally brought together in a war-time situation, when each other were all they had to hang on to. Que sera sera as the song goes.
Ironically, the best avatars I made were of M/C, go figure ;D

Thanks for voicing your opinion ogiegirl. I doubt if Grandmama Winchester would let Margaret through the front dough if he brought her home. I remembered how her ex hubbies mom sent her that letter where she said the only Houlihans she knew was a maid who had issues and the chauffeur. I just thought there was something there but like you said war pushes people together.
