I'm perusing a MASH episode guide, and looked up this ep KayEm introduced me to today. I still can't understand how I don't remember the smooch from Margaret on Charles in this one!! It's only four eps before GFA. Someone pointed out, and I'm sorry I don't remember who, I've read so many posts today, how when M. drives off in GFA, she's focused on Charles. So I'm wondering, there toward the end... there really may've been something there, even though C's ticked off at M throughout most of GFA . (IMO, there WAS a 'ship there, but I am looking thru CEW-colored glasses too, )

Near the start of the episode, when Charles tells Margaret she has laryngitis, and she's upset because she's supposed to be going to Dr Chesler's talk, he says something along the lines of "You don't need your voice, you just need your ears, and yours look fine to me." As he says it, he brushes her hair over her right ear - which is actually rather an intimate gesture, albeit a small one. Margaret does slap his hand away, but it seems to me to be because she's annoyed with what he's said, not with what he was doing. What do others think?

I think he can tuck my hair behind my ear any time he wants to. Whoo hooo!

YEA!!! This is on in SIX DAYS on Hallmark, on the 24th (5:30PM PDT for me, dunno about y'all).
I'd better have that VCR a'going!
Unfortunately, Hallmark's known for cutting out scenes (eg, the kiss between Charles & Donna in Mr & Mrs Who), they'd best not cut the mess tent kiss!!

Wanted to bring this thread up again, because this episode just aired and it gave me a lot of warm fuzzies. Wow, could they be anymore in love? Seriously, I think this episode seals it.
I know Charles just happened to be the only doctor in the mess tent when she started sensing a problem, but something tells me she would've gone to him anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we tend to see many instances of her seeking Charles out for problems/issues? Despite his initial indignations, he always helps. He can't resist.
Also, he was looking at her quite adoringly when she wrote down what she wanted to say in the telegram and resigned herself to the fact that she wouldn't get to meet him.
LOVE the kiss in the mess tent. I mean, she did that in front of everyone, even! And you notice that he's shocked at first, his eyes bug out, but then he actually closes his eyes and starts to move his left arm to wrap around her waist, just as she stops. Darn!
Couldn't help but notice that some of his continued annoyance with Dr. Chesler might've been slight jealousy? Also, Kay, I would have to agree that tucking the hair behind the ear was quite intimate and she definitely seemed more annoyed at the situation, not at his gesture.

This is a really great C/M episode and has one of the best moments in the whole series, that kiss. If only it had lasted longer, it would have shut the H/M shippers up.

My Season 11 DVDs arrived this morning, and this was one of the first episodes I watched. All that slo-mo'ing back and forth - I almost made myself late for work!

And another thing.... When Dr Chesler calls the 4077th, and Margaret needs to have someone speak to him for her, she runs to wake Charles. She could have easily asked BJ to take the call for her - he was already awake! - but she chose to go to Charles instead (and he, bless him, got out of bed and went to take the call - again, he could have just pointed her at BJ, but he didn't)
